Phill Young - The Coach
I am an accomplished runner at all distances from 5k through to ultra marathons and an experienced personal coach who works with people to achieve their goals in running or weight loss by working on mind, nutrition and training, all three need to be worked on to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Having been on my own transformation journey when I turned 40 which led to me taking my running a lot more seriously and finding a passion for training and nutrition, and realising how important running and exercise is for my mental health I decided I wanted to share the experience and knowledge to help others achieve what I had been able to.
Based in Lightwater, Surrey, I work with people both in person and remotely online.
I studied and qualified as a personal trainer, running coach and nutrition coach which allowed me to build my knowledge in all those areas to add to the experience I had working with various trainers and coaches over the years.
By bringing this all together to create my own way of working with people I am able to work with a variety of people of different levels to achieve their goals and outcomes whether that be in running, fitness or weight loss.
Discovering the power of mindset over the years I have worked on this myself with self study and applying what I have learnt to my own training and daily life with great results, by sharing the methods and tools I have learnt with clients I am able to help them develop in this area.
Taking this holistic approach I believe allows you to achieve anything you set out to do!
On the trails I love the Brutal series of races where I am part of the core team delivering warm ups at the events, volunteering before and on the day and racing when I can.
I am the only person to have won a Brutal race outright, age category and canicross (running with a dog on a harness).
